Mrs Gloria Lee is the founder of Kim Eng Securities Pte. Ltd. (“KES”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Kim Eng Holdings
Limited (“KEH”), and has over 30 years of experience in the securities industry. Mrs Gloria Lee served as
Chairperson of KEH since being appointed to the post in 1989, and stepped down in 2008 after 19 years of service.
Mrs Lee continues to serve the company as Founder and Advisor.
MR. RONALD ANTHONY OOI THEAN YAT
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Ronald Ooi has 30 years of working experience in the securities industry. He was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of KEH in August 2008. He is currently responsible for the strategic vision and planning of the group and has been a Director of KES since 1979. Mr. Ronald Ooi started his career in Price Waterhouse, Sydney, Australia, before joining the securities industry. From 1986 to 1999, he served as a committee member of the Stock Exchange of Singapore.
MR. LAU WAI KWOK
Executive Director
Mr. Lau joined KES in 1979 as an investment analyst in securities research. He subsequently left KES to pursue a career in James Capel (FE) Ltd ("JCFE"). Mr. Lau resigned from his post as Associate Director of JCFE in 1986 and rejoined KES the same year. Mr. Lau is presently an Executive Director of KES with more than 28 years of experience in the securities industry.
MR. ONG SENG GEE
Executive Director
Mr. Ong is presently an Executive Director of KES overseeing the Business Development, Operations, Information Technology, Credit and Retail divisions of KES. Mr Ong is also director of Kim Eng Securities (Hong Kong) Limited, Kim Eng Vietnam Securities Joint Stock Company, Heritage Fiduciary Service Pte Ltd. Prior to his appointment in KES, Mr. Ong served as the Managing Director of Ong & Company Private Limited ("Ongco"). Mr. Ong joined Ongco in 1995 and was appointed Assistant Dealing Director the following year. He was promoted to Dealing Director in 1998, and was responsible for sales and dealing. Mr. Ong was subsequently appointed Executive Director of Ongco in 1999 before his appointment to the board of KES in 2001.
MR. HWANG WEI-CHERNG
Executive Director
Mr. Hwang is an Executive Director of KEH. He is also a Vice President of Yuanta Securities. Previous positions held by Mr. Hwang include Vice President of International Department at Yuanta Securities, Managing Director of Grand Asia Asset Management Limited, Special Assistant to the Chairman at President Securities Co., Ltd. and Vice President of Yuanta Commercial Bank Co., Ltd. He was a board member of several companies within the Yuanta Group, including YSAFS and Yuanta Securities (Hong Kong) Company Limited and Chairman of Yuanta Life Insurance Agent Co., Ltd.
MR. LIM JIT POH
Non Executive/Lead Independent Director
Mr. Lim was appointed as a Director of KEH in 2004 and is the Lead Independent Director. He is also the Chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the Remuneration Committee of KEH. He is the Chairman of ComfortDelGro Corporation Limited, VICOM Ltd, SBS Transit Ltd, Ascott Residence Trust Management Limited, China Aviation Oil (Singapore) Corporation Ltd, Sky China Petroleum Services Ltd, China Printing & Dyeing Holding Limited and Eng Kong Holdings Limited. He is also a director of several unlisted companies under the ownerships of the Singapore Labour Foundation and Temasek Holdings Pte Ltd. He is a trustee of the Singapore National Employers Federation. He is also a Fellow Member of the Singapore Institute of Directors.
A former top Civil Servant and a Fulbright Scholar, Mr. Lim was awarded the Public Administration Medal by the Government of Singapore in 1972 and three awards by the National Trades Union Congress, namely, Friend of Labour Award in 1986, Meritorious Service Award in 1990 and Distinguished Service Award in 2000. He was a recipient of the Distinguished Science Alumni Award from National University of Singapore in 2006.
PROFESSOR TAN TECK MENG
Non-Executive/Independent Director
Professor Tan was appointed to the board in 1997 and is currently a Non-Executive Independent Director of KEH. In addition to his role as Independent Director, Professor Tan is also the Chairman of the Nominating and Remuneration Committees and a member of the Audit Committee in KEH. Professor Tan served as the Dean of the School of Accountancy & Business in Nanyang Technological University from 1990 to 1998 before holding a position as the Professor and Deputy President of Singapore Management University (“SMU”) through 2001. He is presently the Professor of Accounting at SMU. Professor Tan also holds directorships on the boards of Singapore Reinsurance Corporation Limited, k1 Ventures Limited, Singapore Shipping Corporation Limited, Raffles Education Corporation Limited, Oriental Century Limited, Hyflux Ltd and China Auto Corporation Ltd.
MR. GERALD MAXMILLIAN MINJOOT
Non-Executive/Independent Director
Mr. Minjoot was appointed as a Non-Executive Independent Director of KEH in 2003. He is also a member of the Nominating Committee of KEH. Mr. Minjoot was formerly the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Tri-M Technologies (S) Ltd. He is a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Directors. Mr. Minjoot also holds directorships in Greendale Investments Pte. Ltd. and GH Clan Ltd.
MR. LEE HUNG-CHI @ ALEX LEE
Non-Executive/Non-Independent Director
Mr. Lee is a Non-Executive Non-Independent Director of KEH. He is the President of Yuanta Securities Co., Ltd. since August 2007. Prior to that, he was the Managing Director of Deutsche Bank Taipei Branch, Managing Director of Credit Suisse First Boston Taipei Branch, President of BZW Securities Taipei Branch, and Department Head of foreign institutional trading at Yuanta Securities.
Mr. Lee was also the founder and Chairman of the Foreign Broker Committee of the Taiwan Securities Association (TSA). His efforts as a chairman from 2001 to 2007 saw him promoting greater communication and open dialogue with foreign securities houses and regulatory authorities. He also helped remove unnecessary restrictions in the financial markets to make Taiwan more foreign investor friendly. Mr. Lee received an MBA degree from George Washington University.
MR. JUDD CLARK KINNE
Alternate Director to Mr Lau Wai Kwok
Mr. Kinne is an Alternate Director to Mr Lau Wai Kwok. He has lived and worked in Asia since 1967. After several years with American Express International Bank in Vietnam/Japan, he moved to Singapore in 1973. Since then he has held directorships and senior management positions with Vickers da Costa Ltd/Citicorp Scrimgeour Vickers; Peregrine Group and the Kim Eng Group. His professional experience includes stockbroking/sales and research, direct investments and joint-venture formation in Asian emerging markets. He helped to establish and was a founding Director of the first country funds created for Taiwan, Korea and Thailand. For over 30 years, he has established relationships with numerous Asian corporates/ investors and global institutional funds.
MR. FUMIYUKI AKIKUSA
Non-Executive/Non-Independent Director
Mr. Akikusa was appointed as a Non-Executive and Non-Independent Director of Kim Eng Holdings in 2010. He has had experience as a director of The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd., Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc., Mitsubishi UFJ Securities Holdings Co., Ltd. (former Mitsubishi Securities Co., Ltd. and Mitsubishi UFJ Securities Co., Ltd.) and Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities Co., Ltd. He is the President of Mitsubishi UFJ Securities Holdings Co., Ltd., and the President and CEO of Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities Co., Ltd.
MR. TSUTOMU TANAKA
Alternate Director to Mr. Fumiyuki Akikusa
Mr. Tanaka is an Alternate Director to Mr. Fumiyuki Akikusa. He has had experience as a director of The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd., Mitsubishi UFJ Securities Holdings Co., Ltd. and Morgan Stanley MUFG Securities Co., Ltd. Since 2002, he has held a variety of important posts in Mitsubishi UFJ Securities Holdings Co., Ltd. (former Mitsubishi Securities Co., Ltd. and Mitsubishi UFJ Securities Co., Ltd.) and he became the Deputy President in 2008.
