Kim Eng entered into a strategic alliance with Yuanta Securities Co., Ltd. ("Yuanta") in 2001. In exchange for Yuanta Securities (Thailand), Kim Eng offered 14% of Kim Eng Holdings Limited shares to Yuanta. With the acquisition of Yuanta Securities (Thailand), Kim Eng formed the largest brokerage house in Thailand. Yuanta is currently the largest single shareholder of Kim Eng Holdings Limited with a 29.19% stake as of 30 June 2008.

Kim Eng entered into a strategic alliance with Mitsubishi UFJ Securities Co., Ltd ("MUS") on 21 February 2008. Kim Eng and MUS will provide and offer each other their financial products and services, and leverage on each other's strengths, resources and capabilities to explore business opportunities. MUS holds a 14.79% stake in Kim Eng Holdings Limited as at 30 June 2008.

Mitsubishi UFJ Securities Co., Ltd. ("MUS") became a wholly owned subsidiary of Japan's largest banking group, the Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group ("MUFG") in September 2007.
