A RESEARCH DIVISION WAS CREATED IN 1989 TO COMPLEMENT THE EXISTING BROKERAGE BUSINESS. The Kim Eng Group expanded its activities in Hong Kong after obtaining a derivatives broking services in 1995, through Kim Eng Futures (Hong Kong) Limited ("KE Futures HK"). KE Futures HK is licensed to deal in futures contracts and is also an exchange participant of Hong Kong Futures Exchange and a clearing participant of the HKFE Clearing Corporation Limited. KE Absolute, established in 2003, is the hedge fund services arm of KESHK dedicated solely to the needs of the firm's hedge fund clients. Rather than adopting the more common model of a traditional sales team with a hedge fund service element, KE Absolute provides hedge fund clients with a customized research, sales and execution capability, leveraging on the Kim Eng Group's global footprint, regional expertise and product knowledge to offer a truly seamless service in cash and derivative instruments across all Asian markets including Japan.
