In 1999, PT Kim Eng Securities ("PTKES"), a joint venture securities company owned by Kim Eng Holdings Limited was established as a full service investment bank, expanding the firm's range of services in Indonesia to domestic and international retail and institutional equity research, fixed income sales and trading, equity and debt underwriting, and corporate finance services.
The Kim Eng Group's Indonesian broking business was also placed under new management in 1999, and has since expanded to offer both retail and institutional equity sales to a growing domestic and international client base. In 2000, PTKES opened a branch office in Indonesia’s second largest city, Surabaya to offer equity sales and corporate advisory services to the vibrant business community there. In 2004, the Company opened another branch at Kebun Jeruk, West Jakarta, to cater to the growing market in the area.
